Review Process

Jurnal Ilmiah Maju follows a rigorous review process to ensure the quality and integrity of published articles. The process consists of several stages to provide authors with valuable feedback and maintain high standards. The review process is as follows:

1. Initial Submission Check
   Upon submission, each manuscript is initially reviewed by the editorial team to verify its relevance to the scope of Jurnal Ilmiah Maju, adherence to submission guidelines, and compliance with ethical standards, including plagiarism checks. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to the authors for revision before further consideration.

2. Double-Blind Peer Review
   Manuscripts that pass the initial check are then assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the article’s field. Jurnal Ilmiah Maju uses a double-blind peer review process, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other. This approach ensures an objective assessment of the manuscript based solely on its content and scientific merit.

3. Reviewer Feedback
   Reviewers evaluate the manuscript on various criteria, including originality, methodology, clarity, relevance, and contribution to the field. They provide detailed feedback, including suggestions for improvement, and make one of the following recommendations:

   • Accept: The manuscript is ready for publication as submitted or with minor revisions.
   • Minor Revision: The manuscript requires minor changes before it can be accepted.
   • Major Revision: Significant changes are needed, and the manuscript will be reconsidered after revision.
   • Reject: The manuscript does not meet the standards for publication and will not be considered further.

4. Editorial Decision
   Based on the reviewers' recommendations and feedback, the editor makes the final decision on the manuscript. The possible outcomes are:

   • Accept Submission: The manuscript is accepted for publication.
   • Revise and Resubmit: The manuscript needs further revisions before it can be accepted.
   • Reject Submission: The manuscript is not suitable for publication in Jurnal Ilmiah Maju.

   Authors will be informed of the editorial decision and, if necessary, provided with reviewer comments to guide their revisions.

5. Revision Stage
   If revisions are required, authors are given an opportunity to make changes and resubmit the manuscript. Revised manuscripts should include a response to each reviewer's comment, detailing the adjustments made. The revised version will then be re-evaluated by the editorial team and, if needed, sent for a second round of review by the same or new reviewers.

6. Final Acceptance and Copyediting
   Once the manuscript meets all standards, it is accepted for publication. It then goes through a copyediting process to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to journal formatting requirements.

7. Publication
   The accepted manuscript is scheduled for publication in an upcoming issue of Jurnal Ilmiah Maju. Authors are notified of the expected publication date and will receive page proofs for final approval before the article is published online and in print.
