Screening of Plagiarism

Screening for Plagiarism

Jurnal Ilmiah Maju is committed to upholding academic integrity and ensuring that all published works are original and free from plagiarism. As part of the manuscript submission process, we implement the following measures to detect and prevent plagiarism:

  1. Initial Plagiarism Check: Each submitted manuscript will undergo a plagiarism screening using trusted plagiarism detection software. We compare the text of the manuscript against available online sources and academic databases to identify any significant similarities.

  2. Criteria for Plagiarism: We define plagiarism as the use of another person's ideas, words, or work without proper attribution. This includes, but is not limited to, direct text copying, paraphrasing without credit, and presenting others' research findings as if they are the author's own.

  3. Tolerance Threshold: If the detected plagiarism level exceeds the established tolerance threshold (e.g., 15%), the manuscript will be considered non-compliant with the journal’s standards. Authors will be notified and asked to revise their manuscript by removing the identified plagiarized content before resubmission.

  4. Actions Against Plagiarism: If serious plagiarism is detected in a manuscript that has been accepted and published, Jurnal Ilmiah Maju reserves the right to retract the article from publication. Authors may also face sanctions according to our editorial policies.

  5. Education and Awareness: We encourage authors to understand the importance of plagiarism and to adopt ethical writing practices. Our journal provides guidelines and resources to assist authors in proper citation and the development of original ideas.

Through these measures, Jurnal Ilmiah Maju is dedicated to publishing high-quality research and maintaining ethical standards in scientific publishing.
